The Big Screen: Introduction to Traditional Filmmaking


We will be covering the traditional basics for producing a horizontal movie, from script to screen, choosing certain genres like adventure and fantasy or comedy and horror; students will learn camera setups, lighting schemes, how to use props, prepare costumes, and even go into post-production duties like editing and effects.

FULL CLASS (morning and afternoon): 9AM to 3PM (break time at noon, class resumes at 1pm)

  • GRADES 9 TO 12

REQUIREMENTS FOR CLASS:

1 - Must download the app CapCut for editing prior to class

2 - Must bring their own lunch for break time

3 - Must adhere to the location rules and regulations

4 - Must allow enough data space on smartphone for saving videos

*WE WILL BE HOSTING A SPECIAL PREMIERE SCREENING ON SATURDAY FOLLOWING THE WEEK FOR PARENTS, FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO ATTEND (9AM to 12PM)
